We invite you to a reading and discussion of Atreyee Majumder’s first collection of poems, The Book of Blue (Red River, 2024). She will be in conversation with Prashant Keshavmurthy, Associate Professor of Persian-Iranian Studies at McGill University, Montreal.

Atreyee started writing poetry seriously, in her early 30s, under conditions of extreme suffering. She didn’t know that she would go on to write a decade worth of poems witnessing love, loss, despair, struggle, self-doubt, wonder, resilience, and most of all, the growth of belief. Under the shadow of a turbulent decade, these forty or so poems occurred. Join us at Atta Galatta on 28 April, at 6.30pm to talk about poems, writing, faith, and survival.
