Arpita Dey is a 38 year old analyst by profession. She is a post-graduate in Advertising who enjoys studying cultures and human behaviour. She hails from the quintessential Bengali family with a penchant for eclectic music, hefty books and hearty debates.
Although Arpita reads every genre out there, she has a soft spot for evocative themes and character-driven narratives. A writer since childhood, her happiest memories are from winning novels as prizes for academic excellence in school. She feels passionately about telling stories that connect readers to their emotions. Her short story ‘Jadoh’ has been published in The BWW Bangalore Anthology (Oct. 2022).
Arpita is originally from Ahmedabad, and has been living in Bangalore since a decade. She has also lived in Pune, Mumbai, Lagos, and Atlanta. When at home, she engages in armchair travel by reading books set in all parts of the world. She is a quarter way through the UN’s list of 193 countries. In real life, she prefers road trips as the best way to explore the world. Her roommate is a ginger cat called Boltu who looks after her and reminds her that life is beautiful.
