Radhika Oberoi' s novel, Of Mothers and Other Perishables, opens up a new and intimate vocabulary of grief. It is also set amidst the tumult of political protests in the city of Delhi. This session will explore the impact of prolonged grief on familial relationships. It will also delve into contemporary politics, in particular, the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act, which took place on a narrow stretch of road in Delhi, and were led primarily by Muslim women. She will be in conversation with Bhumika Anand, Founder and Director, Bangalore Writer’s Workshop.
