About the Author:
Srividya Srinivasan is an upcoming author and poet and based in Bangalore. Her first published book is ‘A Thick Fat Finger and other Stories’, is a collection of short stories on human interest.
Welcome to the launch of her second book ‘Kill Me with Love’ is a psycho-thriller novel, that has been published by Juggernaut Publishing House.
She is busy with the completion of her third book ‘The Hand of Destiny’, – a political novel on terrorism and the randomness of human tragedy.
She has nearly 8 more books in the pipeline, at various stages of completion. She also explores flash fiction and memes and many of her quotes are extremely popular over the internet.
She expresses through poetry and memes on the journey of the self, relationships, issues of feminism, women and children issues of freedom, war and tragedy, nature, and participates in poetry sessions and readings regularly at Bangalore. She has a repertoire of nearly 200 poems encompassing a range of subjects that are ready to be compiled into a collection.
She reads her poetry regularly at Atta Galatta, Let Poetry Be. She has shared her poetry at the Bangalore Literary Festival – 2016 and at a London Open Mic on a recent visit to London. She has featured her poetry at Urban Solace in 2016 as part of the Tuesdays with the Bard. She has performed at the 100 thousand poets for change, Bangalore during 2014, 2015 and 2017 and much of her writings reflect her bold stand, activism and her deep love for humanism, nature and the sacredness of the individual.
On the professional and personal front, she has been an entrepreneur for the last 21 years running a niche, advertising firm called Rasters Media Integrated at Bangalore. She is a communication strategist, an Ad-film maker who has directed ads in multiple languages, a hands-on mother, a social activist espousing the cause of education for underprivileged children by running a small home for children on her own called Kumara Nilaya, and a travel enthusiast with journeys that takes her to new places, people and experiences.
